Taking a brief hiatus this week.. we have been busy.
Ryan was running down the hall Sunday night and tripped over his foot. He smashed head first into an army foot locker/truck. Its solid metal and doesnt give. I swooped him up very quicky and warned hubs that there might be a LOT of blood when I pulled him off my shoulder. Yet there was none, I checked his nose and mouth he seemed to be fine somehow. That was when hubs noticed a small greenish blue dot on his forehead. In 15 seconds we watched that little dot grow to the size of a golf ball. We were in the ER 20 minutes later. Everything checked out ok, no CAT scan needed. We went home thankful.
side note. on Sunday he shoved a red scented marker up his nose... thats not blood
Flash forward to Monday night. I headed to Ikea for some household goods and a cheap meal. Ryan had finished eating and was walking over to the play area when SMACK- he tripped over a chair leg and his foot and went face first to the concrete flooring. His hands didnt even go out to catch him. Enter bruise number 2 on the opposite side of his head. It was very traumatic for both of us- breath holding, passing out, turning purple. Not once did someone come ask if we were okay.
Day 3, Tuesday, Ryan was turning around in the hall and got tangled up. Flat to his back hitting the back of his head on the ground.
Needless to say we went BACK to the same ER and had the same nurse look him over. They ruled out the need to do a CT again and said he has bad luck, he is almost 2, and he is a boy.
Someone should have warned me about this.

Oh goodness- -not fun! If you're in the mood to read a good book, try "Bringing Up Boys" by Dr. James Dobson. It will warn you about everything you need to know =0) I love the book.
oh poor baby :[
Have you seen Hellboy? That's all I have to say--other than, "Poor little guy!"
Oh my gosh! I can't believe that. Uhh boys are so crazy and so flippy floppy. Kingston walks like a drunk man and it makes me nervous. Good thing he's okay!
Little flippy floppy boy!
Oh girl. Let me just go ahead and warn you--it doesn't get easier. Noah is the clumsiest child ever. I swear if it's there for him to smack his head on, he will. And he thinks it's hilarious, while I sit and worry about brain damage...oh the little boys we love. Hope his head feels better. LOL :)
awww poor Ryan I hope his boo boos heal soon!
OOOH gosh, poor guy, these boys are a mess, they think that they are unstoppable!! Landon has gotten so brave he now tries to walk of the couch and the bed!!! You guys is sooo cute bruises and all!!
I know that it sucks for him and that he probably is tired of getting hurt, but POOR MOMMY! The stress of seeing your baby hurt is so hard! The little guy is handling it like a trooper it seems :)
Poor dude! That is quite a bump! I had to take the same trip to the ER when my little one was jumped on my a dog and fell down the drive way--so stressful!
