hair cut, running, the fair, and some jets.

I have so much to say.. I don't really WRITE on here like I used too. Mainly because the thoughts I have are not ones I am in the mood to share- a rare moment I know. I have spent the last few months in a PPD fog and I feel like I may be getting past the hardest part and moving forward again. Hallelujah.

These pictures have nothing to do with the words but lets break up my whinny banter with some cuteness, shall we?

Anyway. Running has saved me. When I was pregnant with Weston I bought a pair of running shoes and vowed that when he was out of the belly I would become one of those crazy runners- the kind that get all emotional over it and is totally addicted. Well that day has finally arrived. I have been running for over a month and I feel great.

I confessed to hubs that when I run alone (usually go with a friend, hey Kim!) I will cry at some point. Each time for something different- being overwhelmed with parenting, marriage strife, exhaustion, emotional stress.. blah blah the list goes on. It is the biggest sense of release when my feet hit the pavement and I cant get enough of it. Thank goodness I run in a loop because sometimes I take off and dont want to ever stop.

If we arent instagram friends, we should be. You missed out on my big hair cut last week! I have been debating over cutting off my dead post baby length for a few months and finally made an appointment. The next day I was sitting in the chair and could literally feel the first cut- I cried inside. I loved it the first day and am not a big fan of it now BUT it is really healthy again and it was long overdue. I have it in an A-line bob.

Over the weekend I was in Seattle again- it was Sea Fair weekend and we all hiked out to the I-90 bridge to watch the blue angels fly. It was freaking HOT. My kids were miserable, we were so sweaty, and 2 of the tires on my stroller actually popped from the heat. BUT we did have fun, I wish I could ride in one of those jets.

Hubs weekends are usually sunday/monday so today we hit up the county fair for some overpriced fatty food and people watching entertainment. It delivered :) See that huge slide up there? my BABY boy went down it! I think he was a little freaked out in the beginning but was so very proud of himself at the bottom. You rock little man.

cheesiest fake smile ever. he hates having his picture taken these days.

It was really hot again today and he was super cranky most of the day, the carousel was the first ride and he hadnt really come around to the idea when we took off on our lion but he was laughing by the end, I promise.

Proof West was at the fair with us, he slept most of the time in the stroller only to wake up and flirt with the passerby's

Oh wait, I said I wasnt going to talk about the pictures and get all mushy whinny on you. Ugh, my friends, life is hard. It gets better then it gets harder again. I can elaborate but I'm trying to stay positive. But if you see me in person just give me a big smile, I'd appreciate it.

this kid.

This kid is AWESOME SAUCE. (imgaine that in ryans voice its to die for)

Ever since the "weston go" incident I knew that the eldest has been dying for some me time. He is still the apple of my eye and deserves to be selfish with me every now and then.

We headed out to the zoo for the first time (he can remember anyway) and he was AMAZED at it all. He ran from exhibit to exhibit by the time we were done we were all too tired to even move.

And the littlest? He loved it too. It was really his first outing other than trips to the mall or grocery store. He split up his time between nursing under a cover while we walked around, riding in the bumbleride, and chillin in the moby. He was in heaven.
we made Yia Yia come along too ;)
he likes her a little dont ya think.

YES he is almost THREE and still likes to be "worn" he was way too big for the front but he asked so nicely I couldnt say no.
Hubs celebrated the One Day Without Shoes movement by going barefoot.. I on the other hand just wore my toms!

I think a zoo pass is in order, we had a blast.

pumpkin patch

Even though we were still recovering from jet lag and the flight from hawaii we were so happy to be back with our boy that we took him to the pumpkin patch last night! Last year we drove across state lines and went to a HUGE patch and it was nice but this year we were looking for something a little low key- perfect for someone little. Right down the road from us was the perfect farm.

We found 4 "little" pumpkins adding up to a whopping 57 pounds! We were ready to walk with 3 but Ryan wanted to get one for the baby :)

We will wait to carve them til we get closer to halloween... speaking of halloween I have no clue what we are dressing up as! I need ideas!

babymoon in hawaii

Hubs parents took all their kids, 3 couples to Ohau for a week. It was an amazing trip and we are so blessed to have amazing parents. While we were gone my parents watched Monkey and kept a blog about all the fun. To read about his week click here.

We had a wonderful time with hubs siblings and their spouses. We saw pretty much all of the island! Lots of time in the car but it was beautiful. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pali Point (the highest spot on the island with gale force winds!) the LDS Hawaiin temple, and snorkeling at lots of different beaches.

Everyone NOT pregnant or recently pregnant (my SIL just had a baby 2 months ago) got scuba certified and went on a few diving trips. It has become a passion of hubs lately and it was great to see him loving every minute of it while I sun bathed on the boat.

Staying in Waikiki was fun. It is like the LA of hawaii and constantly hustling and bustling there were people, restaurants, and shopping everywhere. If we ever go back to Hawaii we will try to find somewhere more low key to stay but it was nice to be able to walk everywhere and see all the sights so easily this time.

Are you sick of pictures yet? Just wait there is more..

 we are cool parents.

We loved our week away but are SO SO SO happy to be back home with our little man. Its not quite the same when we are apart.
