Something you LOVE about yourself.
I love that I am an incredibly amazing mom. This sounds super stuck up but I am really, really good at it! I have been practicing since I was 3 and when everyone else was dreaming about big careers and graduate school I was dreaming of poopy diapers and teething biscuits. This is what I was made to do. I am extremely educated about everything mommyhood and baby rearing, I am resourceful, I am creative, and I grow really cute kids. Plus I am very cute pregnant. Those last 2 are not opinions- those are facts ;)
I love that I am good at a lot of things- cooking, house keeping, scrapbooking, decorating, picture taking (I wont call it photography yet), gymnastics, computers/techy stuff (twitter being the exception) and fashion. I can say all these things without feeling bad because none of them came easy. I have had to work blood sweat and tears for everything- unlike my sister who was born with grace and talent. I have earned these :)
I love my good genes. I havent had to battle with a lot when it comes to the way I look. Sure I have really ugly monkey feet (and currently sad boobs) but other than that I dont have a lot to complain about. Granted I also take great care of my body with healthy eating, exercise, and staying out of the sun so I deserve this. I am the rare woman that loves the way I look. I would like to take a min to thank my dad for blessing my with a great head of hair and my mom for the talent of styling it. I have to use product and blow dry like the rest of you but when it comes down to it I have a good head of hair.
This was the most stuck up I have ever been in my life, I am never this bold about my "loves" but thats what this is all about and after yesterday I needed this day. When I clicked publish last night I keep thinking of all the other and far worse things I could/should have put.. but moving on right.
Day 3: Something you have to forgive yourself for.
Day 4: Something you have to forgive someone for.
Day 5: Something you hope to do in your life.
Day 6: Something you hope you never have to do.
Day 7: Someone who has made your life worth living for.
Day 8: Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like crap.
Day 9: Someone you didn’t want to let go, but just drifted.
Day 10: Someone you need to let go, or wish you didn’t know.
Day 11: Something people seem to compliment you the most on.
Day 12: Something you never get compliments on.
Day 13: A band or artist that has gotten you through some tough days. (write a letter.)
Day 14: A hero that has let you down. (letter)
Day 15: Something or someone you couldn’t live without, because you’ve tried living without it.
Day 16: Someone or something you definitely could live without.
Day 17: A book you’ve read that changed your views on something.
Day 18: Your views on gay marriage.
Day 19: What do you think of religion? Or what do you think of politics?
Day 20: Your views on drugs and alcohol.
Day 21: (scenario) Your best friend is in a car accident and you two got into a fight an hour before. What do you do?
Day 22: Something you wish you hadn’t done in your life.
Day 23: Something you wish you had done in your life.
Day 24: Make a playlist to someone, and explain why you chose all the songs. (Just post the titles and artists and letter)
Day 25: The reason you believe you’re still alive today.
Day 26: Have you ever thought about giving up on life? If so, when and why?
Day 27: What’s the best thing going for you right now?
Day 28: What if you were pregnant or got someone pregnant, what would you do?
Day 29: Something you hope to change about yourself. And why.
Day 30: A letter to yourself: tell yourself EVERYTHING you love about yourself.

you aren't being stuck up, its all true. the gymnastics thing reminded me of when we were in elementary school when you and ashley were in gymnastics, i was totally jealous. i wish i had started gymnastics at a young age so i could tumble but no, i had to start when i was like 13. guess what happens when you start gymnastics when you are 13......you are with 5 year olds! talk about humiliating.
That doesn't sound stuck up!!! You seem like an incredible Mommy! I love that you recognize this about yourself! :-)
I LOVE your list of loves!! Good for you for loving the way you look- that is something I have been working on the last few years, and am still far from being there!
And in answer to your question about the 3 day potty training, I am actually planning on doing one that is about a week long! (I'm for sure not one of those moms that is going to drag it out for 6 months!) I'm just concerned about her having the physical ability to BE potty trained, so have been hesitant to start! I think I might need to just go for it, though!
PS- I love your playlist on your blog- sometimes I open up your blog when I just want to listen to some great feel good music.
Okay, I kind of laughed all the way through this because...it sounded a lot like my kind of language and writing. Eventhough...I don't think I've mastered motherhood, or housekeeping, or cooking, aaaand I struggle with styling my hair eventhough I do have good locks. Also, I don't have the problem with saggy boobs. Trust me, right now, I'd donate them to you for FREE.
LOL You are bold to be doing this 30 day project thing. That is great. Don't think i could do it.
It's good to love yourself.
That's not stuck up. YOu are telling us what you are good at. You gotta have more kids now since you make them good and you look cute doing it. I'm just saying...smiles
there's nothing wrong with loving yourself or being confident! good for you for being honest & grateful for your good features :)
